Nate Marquardt: Dana White Must Have Good Reason to Fire UFC Fighter

Nate Marquardt Suspended and Ultimately Fired by UFC Owner Dana White

In Dana White I Trust.

It?s been quite the tumultuous weekend for Nate Marquardt, who was scheduled to fight in the main event in just less than an hour on UFC Live on Versus.

After failing the weigh in, which cost him his Live on Versus main event spot, White immediately took action in this short Tout.com clip.

So, not only is Marquardt out of the main event, but he?s out of the UFC completely.

Now, things get juicy!

Everyone is wondering why he failed his weigh in and UFC.com offered this tidbit.

?Due to late medical licensing issues, Nate Marquardt has been pulled from Sunday's UFC Live main event in Pittsburgh. Stepping in to face Rick Story on the main card will be Pennsylvania's own Charlie Brenneman, and the Cheick Kongo vs. Pat Barry bout has been elevated to the main event slot,? according to Thomas Gerbasi on UFC.com.

Medical reasons? I?m not buying it.

White definitely had good reason to send Marquardt packing. He is a phenomenal business man and would not do anything to jeopardize the integrity of his promotion, which leads me to believe Marquardt certainly did.

Not many would even dare to question White for his decision in the first place. This is a man who could probably tear apart some of the fighters he employs.

White would make Marquardt look like Lord Farquaad from Shrek inside the caged Octagon.

Actually, that?s exactly what Dana should have done in light of Nate failing the weigh in and surrounding UFC Live on Versus with this controversy.

He should have taken Marquardt into the Octagon himself and pummeled him to bits and pieces and send him packing the right way.

Now that would have been must-see TV!

Marquardt learned the hard way, you don't mess with White.
