The Miami Herald reports that this pick, originally occupied by the Chicago Bulls, is going to the Miami Heat.
Miami obtained the pick from Minnesota after the Wolves and Bulls made a trade which landed Chicago Nikola Mirotic at the No. 23 pick. The Heat sent the No. 31 pick, a future second-rounder and cash here.
Great selection by the Heat, as they needed to find the best point guard available to try and guide the Big Three to an NBA championship. Norris Cole was a very active point guard at Cleveland State, filling up the stat sheets nightly with 22 points, six rebounds and five assists per game. The 6?1?, 175-pound point guard can challenge for the starting position right away, especially with Mario Chalmers and Mike Bibby unsigned for next season.
Grade: A. It?s a move the Heat needed to make, and Cole can even make a case for being the fifth-best point guard in the draft.
