Tottenham Transfer News: Spurs Looking to Bring Scott Parker and Gary Cahill

Many sources are reporting that within the next few hours England international Scott Parker will move from West Ham to Tottenham.

Even Hammers co-owner David Sullivan has admitted that the midfielder is likely to join Spurs before the transfer window closes.

Parker has been the topic of many transfer rumors throughout the summer, as he has been targeted by Chelsea and Queens Park Rangers as well.

The England player is desperate to get back into the Premier League so he can keep his spot in the England squad ahead of the 2012 European Championship.

It is believed that Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has but in a bid of £6 million, £1 million more than QPR are offering, to win the race for Parker.

In other news, Spurs are looking to secure the services of Bolton centre back Gary Cahill, who has been a target of the club's North London rivals, Arsenal, all summer.

The first proposal to Bolton from Spurs was for cash and Sebastien Bassong to head to the Reebok Stadium, but now it looks like it will be a straight cash deal.

Cahill has been a target of the big clubs in England all summer and is in his last year of his contract with Bolton, and the Trotters would like to make a profit off of the 25-year-old Englishman.

It looks like the Parker transfer may happen sooner rather than later and that negotiations for Cahill joining the North London club are in progress as well, since Arsenal is likely out of the running for the center back.

Both of these signings would be a boost to Tottenham's morale, as they are still looking to claim their first points of the season in the Premier League.
