Final Four 2011: Picks, Predictions and Players to Watch in Houston

The Final Four is now only a few days away. The wait may seem immense, but at least we have the teams that will make next weekend memorable.

VCU pulled off the upset of the season in taking down the big bad Morris twins and the rest of the Kansas Jayhawks. So for the first time ever, we will have a team in the Final Four that initially had to play their way in. Their victory against USC to start this tourney seems like decades ago.

Their competition will be the Butler Bulldogs. This will be the second consecutive Final Four berth for Brad Stevens and Butler. Can we stop calling them a Cinderella team now? I think we can start calling them a bona fide contender from here on out.

With so many upsets, it is surprising that two top-seeded teams actually made it this far. UConn and Kentucky maneuvered past disaster to claim a spot at the final table.

Brandon Knight showed he can be counted on to carry his team in the face of pressure and adversity. Against a tough North Carolina team, he shined. Kentucky was taken to the limit, and still came away the better team Sunday.

We then have Kemba Walker. This guy is good. He is the reason the Huskies have made it this far. He will also be the main reason they win a title, if that is what fate deems.

This is what a wild tournament has given us. A quick look around will find that there are no number one, or two seeds left standing. That's a first. We are also assured to have at least an eight seed fighting for a title.

An unpredictable tournament hits its final notes next weekend. So let's get to the predictions, picks and analysis. We better start quickly, we only have five more days before the Final Four.
